A court case starts today in the Bronx which highlights the extent to which the US is FUBAR.
Apparantly - wait for it - eating copious amounts of fast food can make you fat!! Now, I know what you are thinking... "but Roanld didn't say anything! He wears massive clown-like trousers, yes. But I thought that they were his before he started dieting, not his burger-eating obese half-brother Ronald's."
When parents like those of the hand-picked kids appearing as plaintiffs abdicate their responsibility to their children by not cautioning them against the issues of over eating and binging on fast food, they need look no further than themselves for the guilty party.
I don't often back the big corporations (even though I work for one) but this time the only thing that they are guilty of is being far too successful in marketing their product.

Kevin Spacey has launched a new website to back up his talent "nurturing company". TriggerStreet.com hopes to make the rocky road to film stardom that much easier by identifying new talents in filmwriting and acting. I may apply myself!

Refereeing tomorrow on Watsonians FP III v Stirling County III, should be interesting! Match report may follow!!
Sunday heralds the Scotland v Fiji game at Murrayfield (Rugby Union), Scotland looking for 4-wins-in-a-row, unheard of in the last few years.
Gavin Hastings has announced a new initiative today to donate money to The Sandpiper Trust, in order that money be raised to equip rural GPs with emergency equipment. All supporters have to do is to wear a rugby strip - any rugby strip it would seem - and suave Gav will donate £1 per wearer at the game to the Trust. G'on yersel big man!

Sometimes you just comes across the net at its best. This is one of those times, whoever though about putting this together was inching along that border between genius and madness.

What an amazing weekend to be a Scot, and a Fifer (or more specifically - Dunfermliner).
Scotland 21 South Africa 6. We haven't beaten RSA at Rugby since 1969 when Jim Telfer (Scottish forwards coach) played, and I was 3. And, last Saturday, Jamie was a ball boy at Murrayfield, so he got to see it for free!
Dunfermline 3 Hearts 1. Off to a great start this season, chasing a European place. At this satge the Pars are out in 3rd place with 1/3 or so of the season gone. Unbelievable! Still, let's hope we don't see the post-Xmas crumble like in the past.

Viva Ecosse... Viva Fife :-))
