A momentous day, Jamie's first day at High School - all very excited!!
Can't figure out whether he is nervous, or cool about the whole thing.
Packed him off this morning in his new school polo shirt and sweatshirt, although he insisted that in order to not fully conform, he would spike his hair up in order to stick (up) out in the new crowd. Nic insisted on taking photos - quite right too, it will be all too soon before the first day images will be faded in our minds. Not sure that Jamie felt the same way - imagine the embarrassment of your mum taking your photo with you school stuff on. What's that all about?
My first day in the office without any departmental back-up. Tom (my colleague) has moved on to pastures new as a contractor - albeit 20 feet up the corridor. But, still leaves me to while away the next 2 weeks on my ownsome until I leave here after 6 1/2 years. Momentous indeed.
